Brazilian Medical Thesis Going Digital

Undergraduate History students in Recife, Brazil, are actively engaged in digitally preserving a significant historical collection of 19th and early 20th-century Brazilian medical theses. This collaborative effort involves the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE), Loyola University New Orleans, and the Transatlantic Bodies Project (TBP). The collection, comprising approximately 90,000 pages, is currently stored at UFPE’s Historical Research Laboratory and will soon be accessible online through our TBP webpage.
